Branding Communication Strategy Visual Identity Storytelling Website Healthtech SaaS Technology & Innovation

In Brazil, only one in ten cities offers teleconsultations to its population. In that same country, remote care in the private sector jumped from 200,000 to 3.1 million visits a year between 2020 and 2025. Demand is running ahead of infrastructure. It was in that gap that Headcore built the new presence of Doutor ao Vivo, a healthtech that has already delivered more than 2 million teleconsultations across 3,000 Brazilian cities and 80 countries, around an idea that fits in three words: cuidar é conectar (to care is to connect).

THE STORY

WHERE THE DOCTOR CAN’T REACH

Brazil’s Medical Demography survey registers 2.98 physicians per thousand inhabitants nationwide. In the Northeast, 2.22. The most critical specialties in underserved areas are ophthalmology, orthopedics, neurology, and general surgery, according to research by the National Front of Mayors. The Ministry of Health estimates telehealth can cut waiting times in SUS, the public health system, by 30%, and has earmarked R$ 300 million in its health infrastructure program to make it happen. The technology exists. So does the queue.

WHAT DOUTOR AO VIVO ALREADY WAS

When the project began, the operation already spoke for itself: more than 1 million patients served, 12,000 registered health professionals, over 50 specialties, an in-house clinical team working around the clock. A white-label platform, an app, a digital health station that measures vital signs, a telemedicine booth for emergency units and hospitals, health cards. Six product lines spanning everything from triage to real-time clinical follow-up.

The brand said less than the operation delivered. Visitors to the site saw a telemedicine platform. Clients discovered an entire healthcare system, with people, hardware, and clinical protocol behind every video call. That gap between perception and reality was the problem to solve.

The Doutor ao Vivo symbol visually translates the brand’s language, its culture of partnership, and its sense of care. The mark was built from the letter “D”, replicated four times and joined by curves. At the center of the shape, the lines were softened to evoke a screen, a direct reference to the digital health segment.

Reposition Doutor ao Vivo for the people who make healthcare purchasing decisions in Brazil: municipal health departments, insurers, hospitals, HR teams at large companies. Organize six products into an architecture a public administrator grasps in a single read. And give a name to the model the company was already practicing without naming it: the integration of physical and digital care.

Cuidar é conectar (to care is to connect)

The central idea came from a simple observation: everything Doutor ao Vivo does is connection. The patient in a town with no specialist, connected to a doctor in São Paulo. The vital sign captured at a kiosk, connected to the medical record. The physical connected to the digital in the phygital concept that structures the entire portfolio.

“Cuidar é conectar” became the signature, the thesis, and the decision criterion. The narrative drops the vocabulary of software and adopts the vocabulary of care: human, safe, effective. Technology appears as the means. Care leads the communication, not the platform.

What we did

The new digital presence organizes the offering into a phygital architecture of six solutions, each with a clear role in the patient journey, from the white-label platform to the wheelchair-accessible booth. The operation’s numbers moved to the top of the page — proof position, not footer material. The municipal case studies became persuasion pieces backed by verifiable data, and the FAQ section was written to answer what administrators actually ask, from data privacy (LGPD) to contract lock-in.

Results

In Sumaré, in the state of São Paulo, Doutor ao Vivo’s operation across 4 health units posted an NPS of 89, a 98% resolution rate, and a complete patient journey under 13 minutes. At the Afonso Pena emergency care unit in São José dos Pinhais, 6 months of operation delivered an NPS of 91, an 86% resolution rate, and full visits in under 10 minutes.

For context: the average resolution rate of private telehealth in Brazil is 72.96%, according to the Saúde Digital Brasil indicators panel produced with Serasa Experian.

The sector is growing. Doutor ao Vivo is growing ahead of it, and now the brand tells the same story the operation does.

Doutor ao Vivo. Cuidar é conectar.
